A great day at the beach

Our family enjoyed a beautiful day on Indian Rocks Beach last Saturday. My mom lives nearby and she came out with us. The weather was perfect; sunny with a light breeze. The water was cool and refreshing. It was a fun day for all of us. Here are some pictures that we took:
The boys discovered a huge hole dug into the sand and had a great time playing in it.
Aiden happily plunges in to the rather chilly water.
Anevay enters with more caution - the wave was colder than she anticipated.
Uh, oh! That wave is coming at me!
Secure in Daddy's arms.
The boys play with my mom on the raft. I wish that I was in as good of physical condition as my mom - she sure doesn't look like the typical woman in her early 70's...
Dakota decides to head back to shore.

Gathering water to test the strength of his sandcastle.
They enjoyed seeing the castles get washed back into the gulf with the waves.

Anevay loves the beach and her daddy.

Vrooom! The mighty Aiden machine pushes through the sand!
Mommy gets some baby snuggles.
Come on, Anevay; wave to Daddy!

Granny Honey supervises the castle work and enjoys the cool water lapping over her ankles.
Dakota the mason, busy at work...
Aiden searches for treasures in the sand... Look at this!

Sheer happiness!
Strolling at the water's edge.
Anevay points out the seagulls to Mommy.
Dakota returns to the water.
Aiden loves the water, just like me.
Dakota strolls on the beach to dry off.
Running on the beach; if only I had their energy! Dakota loved chasing the seagulls.
The boys make a new friend on the beach.
Anevay enjoys a nap in Daddy's lap.
That long hair is a hassle on a windy day!
Back in the hole for some last minute digging before we head over to my mom's house. I can't imagine who dug the thing so deep; it was quite huge. The kids thought it was ultra cool though.
We ended our day by stopping by my mom's to shower and get dressed for dinner out at Sweet Tomatoes. I took this shot of the kids laughing with my mom on the swing in her back yard.
